The State Legislature awarded the Town of Taos a grant to study current economic trends in Taos. The Town hired UNM's Bureau of Business and Economic Research who worked closely with UNM-Taos to produce the study. The study examines business trends in Taos.

Perspectives from consumers and business owners are analyzed and quantified. BBER and UNM-Taos make recommendations to improve business growth in Taos. The Projects Department will hold public meetings to present the report from The University of New Mexico and develop a public discussion on the business climate in Taos.
