TOWN OF TAOS, NEW MEXICO

RESOLUTION 05-05

 

A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE TRANSFER OF OBSOLETE LIGHT AND DIRECTIONAL BARS WITH CONTROL SWITCHES TO TAOS COUNTY ROAD DEPARTMENT

 

WHEREAS, there is a request to transfer (3) obsolete light and directional bars to Taos County Road Department which are no longer being utilized by the Town of Taos Police Department; and

 

WHEREAS, the obsolete light and directional bars are no longer in the Police Department inventory and are in good working condition which can be utilized by the Taos County Road department.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the Town of Taos, meeting in regular session, that:

 

1.      The Mayor and Town of Taos Council recognize and support the transfer of light and directional bars with control switches to the Taos County Road Department for their use.

 

2.   The Mayor and Town of Taos Council recognizes the Taos County Road Department with the use of light and directional bars will enhance the safety of the citizens of the Town of Taos and Taos County.

 

Adopted this 25th day of January 2005 by the following vote:

 

Council member Erlinda Gonzales - Aye

Council member Eugene Sanchez - Aye

Council member Frank Cruz -        Aye
