A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF TAOS, SUPPORTING THE GROUP COMMUNITY SERVING VETERANS AND ALL VETERANS UPON THEIR RETURN FROM DUTY
Whereas, With the return of many of our servicemen and women, they and their families may have many unique problems and needs; and
Whereas, It is up to the members of our community to understand these needs and respond to them; and
WHEREAS, We encourage and support a collaborative community approach to educate ourselves and mobilize our resources in as effort to support returning veterans requiring assistance to successfully reintegrate into our community; and
WHEREAS, The Town of Taos will co-sponsor a program held by the Community Supporting Veterans group, to help all of us understand the needs of our Veterans to be held March 9, 2005 at Taos Convention Center, and to continue in the future.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council, the governing body of the Town of Taos, that the Community Serving Veterans event is supported by the council.
Be it further resolved, that the Town of Taos Council hereby extends thanks and appreciation to all veterans and their families for their countless contributions to our community.
