As your Chief of Police, I accept the responsibility of ensuring our police professionals recognize and hold dear, our responsibility to enforce the values of our communities, within the confines of our Constitutions, and to never succumb to the temptation of forcing our values on our communities through an abuse of authority. We stand as public servants for our communities, dedicated to reducing fear, preventing criminal activity and enhancing the quality of life of our residents and visitors, while ensuring equitable and compassionate enforcement of our communities’ values, state’s statues and governments’ principals of democracy.
