Chief Weaver  A Message From the Chief of Police

The Town of Taos is an incredible mixture of people, places, history, and ideas.  From the Taos Pueblo and their proud people, the Historic Churches and to the amazing outdoor activities, a visitor or resident can find a variety of interesting sights, sounds and people.

The Taos Police Department recognizes how truly special this mixture is, and is committed to serving all those who travel or live in this great town.

As the Chief of Police, I hold myself accountable for the professional, ethical, and compassionate enforcement of our communities’ values, state statute, and local ordinances.  But more than that, the members of the Taos Police Department are invested in this community, and we strive to reinforce our commitment to the law abiding community that we are your public servants.

David Weaver
Town of Taos Chief of Police
