Taos Youth Flight Rally:  Taos area youth ages 8-17 will have a chance to take to the skies on Saturday, September 10, 2022, for the 12th Annual Taos Youth Flight Rally at the Taos Regional Airport.

The Taos Youth Flight Rally event is brought to you by Taos Local Pilots, Taos Aviation Services, Taos Regional Airport, Town of Taos Visitor Center and Town of Taos Community Events.  This event was created to interest our youth in aviation.  We hope to build one-on-one relationships between our Taos Local Pilots and young people, giving new generations a chance to learn more about the possibilities that exist in the world of aviation.

Pilots will give free airplane rides at the event and will explain more about their airplanes allowing young people to discover how airplanes work and how pilots ensure each flight is conducted in a safe manner.  Pilots volunteer their time, fuel and aircraft so the flights can be provided free of charge for interested young people.  Flights will begin at approximately 7:30 AM through 11:00 AM.

Registration forms need to be picked up, completed, and returned to the Town of Taos Visitor Center located at 1201 Paseo del Pueblo Sur by Friday, September 2, 2022.  The Town of Taos Visitor Center is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

A drawing will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.  Seventy (70) participants selected at random will be contacted on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, to schedule a flight time.

All youth must be pre-registered and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  This event is weather permitting and depends on pilot availability.

If you are an organization or business, it is not too late to reserve your FREE exhibit space.  Community Day is a day for our community.  We are inviting our community, local businesses, organizations, churches, charities and the school district to have booths that include information, activities, crafts, etc. Local charities and organizations rely on community events to help them gain exposure and aid their fundraising efforts. This event will also be great publicity for local businesses.  Sign up early to secure your exhibit booth space as applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.  Application deadline is July 26, 2022.

Together as a community we want the first annual Movies on the Green Community Day to be remembered, where our youth will have great memories of visits with Clifford and will have pictures and their own reading book.  Other memories will be watching the movie on the Video Wall, the entertainment, spending time with friends, family and our community!    We strongly feel this event will be a huge success and are planning on scheduling the Movies on the Green Community Day once a month next season.

Note the time change of the movie Clifford The Big Red Dog showing starts at 7:30 PM instead of its regular scheduled time during Movies on the Green.
