Albuquerque BioPark’s Discover the BioPark

Albuquerque BioPark’s Discover the BioPark free outreach program, formerly known as Zoo To You is coming to the Taos Youth & Family Center on June 27, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Get eye to eye with beautiful birds, small mammals, amazing amphibians and reptiles. Zoo staff and volunteer teachers called docents will guide you through this traveling exhibit of animals and hands-on biofacts – including bones, pelts, feathers, shells and other interesting animal items – as you learn about conservation.

“Discover the BioPark is an interactive, fun program that provides a wealth of information about wildlife from misunderstood, feared predators to remarkable animal adaptations,” said Kathryn Venzor, BioPark Education Curator. “Zoo staff, docents and animal ambassadors highlight the importance of conservation and show how our actions matter in efforts to preserve nature.”

Discover the BioPark is offered for audiences of all ages and encourages active participation and questions.

Discover the BioPark brought to you by the Town of Taos Community Events, Taos Youth & Family Center, City of Albuquerque & NM BioPark Society.
